Do we need the type of development that is built on butchery of trees in the cities? I heard that there is a law to save the trees in this country. The law probably says that a full grown tree cannot be cut down. But trees are being cut down every where. The builders are cutting down forests inside cities. Botanical park in Hyderabad was cut down in order to build a hotel. Recently 2000 trees on a forest were cut down for a residential compound. I can feel the weather of the cities changing. In the last 10 years Pune temperature has risen by about 3 deg celcius during the summers. If we all keep silent and allow this special group called developers and the investors of such properties, do what they do best, we will all perish.
